My name is Dennitza Koseva. I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1974. I started training in Rhythmic Gymnastics when I was 7 years old. I was picked up for the National Team of Bulgaria when I was 12 years old. I was a professional athlete for 5 years. I have represented Bulgaria in two European Championships (one time the World Cup, one time silver in the World Championships). I also competed in many national and international tournaments.
When my active career as a gymnast was over I started to work as a coach. I started to coach in Club Levski, Bulgaria. After a short period, the Bulgarian Federation sent me to Johannesburg, South Africa to develop Rhythmic Gymnastics. There I was for 6 months. After that I was sent to Vittoria, Spain to do the same work as above. One of my gymnasts there made the National team for group, I was there for one year.
In 1995, the Norwegian federation asked the Bulgarian federation for an experienced gymnast for the European Championships in 1996 to prepare and choreography the Norwegian group routine and our federation sent me to do that work. In 1999, I was the responsible coach for three of the gymnast on the Norwegian team, who were representing Norway in the World Championship in Osaka, Japan. I was also coaching the junior gymnast who represented Norway in the Nordic Championships in Denmark 1999. She placed 2nd. The last year I have been the head coach for three young talents who has qualified to the young Norweigian team. I have been living and coaching in Norway for 11 years. Under this time I have also visited other countries with my gymnasts that have good tradition in Rhythmic Gymnastics such as Russia, Bulgaria and Estonia so they can develop the most.
In 2005, Estonia invited me to choreograph routines for two junior gymnasts. In 2006, they invited me again to prepare their gymnasts for the Estonian Championships at the same time I choreographed new routines. At the Estonian Championships, the gymnasts I was working with became number 1 and number 2 in the children’s category, number 3 in the young junior category, and number 5 in the junior category.
In addition, Sharon Deussolli came for two weeks from the USA to have a training camp in Estonia with me. She competed there with the Junior gymnasts even though she belongs in the child category and did very well. She placed 3rd. This girl is a great talent.
I have been working all ready for 14 years as a coach in Rhythmic gymnastics. I’ve been working on a national and international level.
